Myth, Memory
& Speculative Fiction

A parallel life in letters — where ancient mythological traditions meet contemporary speculation, and where questions matter more than answers.

On Storytelling

Outside the clinic, I live a second professional life as an author. My writing explores the fault lines between ancient mythological traditions and contemporary speculative fiction — asking what old stories reveal about modern identity, power, and belief.

I am drawn to complex narrative structures: stories that reward patience, that hold multiple truths simultaneously, and that resist easy resolution. The same rigour I bring to a diagnosis, I bring to a sentence.

The subcontinent's mythological canon is vast, layered, and often contradictory — which makes it the perfect raw material for fiction that refuses easy categorisation. My work draws on these traditions not as decoration but as structural logic.

What the Work Explores

◈

Myth & Modernity

Old stories are not relics — they are living arguments. The work asks how ancient frameworks survive contact with contemporary experience.

◎

Identity & Memory

Who we are is inseparable from what we remember — and what we are allowed to remember. These stories interrogate the politics of personal and collective memory.

◇

Power & Belief

What we worship reveals what we want. The intersection of spiritual belief and political power is a recurring site of inquiry in the fiction.

In Development

The debut work is rooted in the mythological traditions of the Indian subcontinent — a story about what endures when everything else changes: dynasties, geographies, languages, even gods.

It is a speculative novel with a complex, non-linear structure. The narrative spans time without making time its subject — the concern is character, belief, and consequence.
